my boyfriend and I came here for the first time to celebrate our one year anniversary and it was so cute! the decoration (wallpaper, paint, plants, intentional mirrors, and chandeliers) made the place so hip and fun! we ordered the 2 piece risotto as a starter, the sausage pizza, the lamb lasagna, and the tiramisu. I have to say that the lasagna and tiramisu were the best! they also gave us a complimentary cookie with the check and it was like a citrus mini scone, sooooo good. my boyfriend and I are in our mid twenties and the crowd was a bit older. this place is probably a staple for some couples and I can see why!

Updating to add a picture of the pineapple and chili pizza which is even tastier than it is beautiful.

In 2024, my boyfriend and I made it a goal to try a new restaurant anytime the two of us went out to eat. Che Fico was our last new restaurant of the year. We made a reservation ahead of time, about a week in advance. The interior space of Che Fico is stunning, with plants hanging from the walls, vibrant wallpaper, big windows, and beautiful chandeliers. The space is lively, but at times made it a bit difficult to hear one another from across the table. We started off with cocktails. I ordered the Le Terme and my boyfriend ordered the Fumo Bianco. We then started off with the Insalata Tritata and Salmon Crudo. The flavors in the salad were delicious and paired really well together. I would recommend, but also share that the salad portion was HUGE for just the two of us. We ordered four dishes in total and the salad definitely filled us up quicker than we had anticipated. The salmon crudo was really acidic. The pieces on the outside of the plate weren't too badly covered in lemon so were able to enjoy those, but the middle pieces in our opinion were too acidic which was a bummer because the salmon cut was really good. Next, came the Gnocchi and it blew us away! The gnocchi melted into your mouth with each bite and it had the perfect amount of truffle on top. I would recommend ordering this dish! Lastly, we ordered the roasted rockfish. I had never eaten rockfish before, but enjoyed the presentation and flavors. Our waitress surprised us with a dessert at the end to celebrate our date night I enjoyed the speed at which each dish came out. I appreciated how often our waitress checked in to see how we felt about each plate and provide recommendations. Overall, I enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and service but felt it was a bit pricey compared to other places that offer similar dishes here in the city.

5 stars easily from me and this review is based of a pick up order. With so many yummy options SF, this was onc I have yet to cross of my list. So glad I finally had the chance to try this place out. My interactions with staff were amiable, all staff were really happy to help, which is rare these days. Thank You!

Phenomenal place! What a local gem. I initially thought it was a dive bar when I walked by, but it turned out to be such a cool Italian restaurant. The vibes inside were super cute, and the food was phenomenal. The salmon crudo was amazing--I'd go back just for that. Despite not being a big lamb fan, the lasagna was so good. They're known for their pineapple pizza, and it was indeed great and the best I have ever had, almost change my mind that pineapple doesn't belong on pizza.

I was reluctant to go to Che Fico due to the mixed reviews and the crazy price of a basic Margherita pizza (more than $30 !). However, I was pleasantly surprised. The upstairs dining room is stunning with an inviting ambiance, with beautiful decor worth seeing. The food was actually great. I had the suppli as a starter and their pasta as the main dish. The only downside is that the pasta portions are quite small. The service was outstanding and professional.

Really enjoyed the setting upstairs of this restaurant. We started with their bread - which we loved how fresh and fluffy it was, alongside the butter and olive oil. We got their lasagna and agnolotti for pastas and the ananas and margherita pizzas. I especially liked their pizzas and thought these were the star of the show (and it came with some hot sauce and chili flakes too) but their lasagna was really well done too. I was not particular impressed with the agnolotti but it was still not bad! They also gave some take home goodies too though there was nothing for a birthday we were celebrating. It is a bit pricey for their mains but we were definitely full with the amount we ordered.

I have too many good things to say about this place! First of all, loved the entrance -- the way you have to walk up the stairs to get to the main restaurant quite literally "elevates" it from the busy streets of SF. The restaurant has a nice open kitchen concept so you can get a full idea of what's going on behind the counter! Service was AMAZING - shoutout to our waiter who was so so attentive and was on a mission to get us our focaccia bread Started our meal with the focaccia with mascarpone spread and olive oil -- would easily eat 7 of those it was TOO GOOD. The focaccia was divine -- lightly spiced which made all the difference and so soft, paired with the creamy mascarpone and olive oil (mmmm). We also had vegetarian(!!!) lasagna which is hard to find so bonus points for that, as well as the campanelle pasta without the lamb sausage -- this one needed a little kick in my opinion, would do without the fava bean and felt like something was missing (perhaps the lamb LOL). But overall still delicious! Our waiter gave us complimentary wrapped cookies at the end which were so yummy and unique -- nice little personalized touch Would definitely go again!
